Sanyipace Sewer Line Inspection Camera System With Locator ~ UNBIASED REVIEW!

    Introduction

In the past, I’ve reviewed many useful electronic gadgets. Today, I’m testing a professional plumbing camera system from a company called Sanyipace. This advanced sewer inspection camera is designed to trace sewer lines, large conduits, or storm drains—even deep underground. Although the unit was sent by Sanyipace, you can expect my honest opinion throughout.

What’s Inside This Plumbing Camera Kit?

The entire drain inspection camera system comes in a rugged case with aluminum edges and insulation. This setup is ideal if you’re an inspector or a homeowner dealing with sewer line issues. For instance, if there’s a leak under the slab, or you’re planning to tap into an existing sewage system, this tool will help you trace and locate the pipe accurately.

    9-Inch Monitor and Locator Included

Manufactured by Sanyipace, the monitor is mounted on the case cover. It allows you to view live footage from inside the drain pipe. The attached Velcro sun visor improves screen visibility. You’ll also find a manual and the locator wand, which works with the sewage camera’s transmitter to pinpoint the camera head underground.

    9-inch LCD screen

    Durable Fiberglass Push Cable

The reel features a strong fiberglass cable ideal for long-range plumbing inspections. Unlike softer cables that bunch up inside pipes, this one is stiff yet flexible—perfect for navigating sewer bends. It includes a built-in meter counter, displaying how far the plumbing camera probe has traveled inside the pipe. This is especially useful when identifying obstructions or damage locations.

    Waterproof Sewer Camera Head (IP68)

Underneath the reel is a waterproof plumbing inspection camera head with a spring-coiled neck. This flexible design makes navigating pipe turns much easier. Gold-plated contacts and an o-ring seal enhance durability, even in wet environments. The camera easily follows the path pushed by the fiberglass cable.

Useful Accessories for Your Plumbing Inspection Camera

The system includes a charging cable (USB or AC), a protective camera cover, and a set of nylon set screws. This protection is important when using the drain camera in narrow pipes, where bumps are common. Additionally, the probe is equipped with 12 LED lights and a 512Hz transmitter, enabling precise location detection with the included locator.

    Powerful 512Hz Locator Wand

This locator detects signals from the sewer camera's transmitter. It features adjustable far and near modes with sensitivity control. When used correctly, it precisely identifies the buried position of the plumbing inspection camera. This is invaluable when dealing with slabs or deep ground.

    Control Box and Monitor Features

The control box connects to the camera, screen, and battery. Buttons allow you to adjust brightness, contrast, and color settings. The plumbing camera system has a 1000 TVL resolution, with a 145° viewing angle, 22mm diameter lens, and a 1024x600 display. It supports photo and video recording with TF card storage.

One drawback: flipping the screen also flips the menu, which can be annoying. Hopefully, a firmware update could fix this.

Real-World Testing of the Plumbing Camera in a Sewer Line

Testing was done on my home’s three-inch sewer line, transitioning from PVC to old cast iron. As a reminder, fiberglass cables should not exceed 90° bends to prevent breakage.

Insertion was smooth. The plumbing camera clearly showed pipe interiors, including buildup and possible obstructions. By 11 feet, the monitor showed the camera probe under 2-inch concrete stones—an accurate and useful reading.

Switching the locator to Far mode, I pinpointed the camera head at approximately 10.5 feet. Switching to Near mode refined the location. This proves how effective this drain inspection camera is for locating underground lines.

Final Thoughts: Is This Plumbing Camera Worth It?

    What I liked:

    • Sturdy build and practical case

    • Accurate meter counter

    • Effective sewer camera with good clarity

    • Locator works well when used correctly

    Areas for improvement:

    • Screen menu flips upside down when camera image rotates

    • AVI files exported with broken index (fixable by software)

Overall, this Sanyipace plumbing camera system gets a solid 9 out of 10. It’s an excellent mid-range kit for professionals or DIY homeowners needing a reliable sewage camera and locator combo.

Besides that, there's not much else I can say about the product. I'll place a link in the video description area if you'd like to purchase this unit. I hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
