Intro

All right, folks. This is what we're looking at today -- Sanyipace model number S8951DM. It is probably the lightest and compact little camera snake that I've ever seen. Very small, and very handy.  Honestly, it's very user-friendly. This little bad boy only weighs 12 lb. And this little kit really nice, which can pop this apart. Everything that comes in this is right here inside this pack.

Unboxing

We've got a 9-in LED screen that shoots in 1080P. Let's pop out some of these things. We've got a charger. I've just been leaving everything in here, because it actually is very nice to keep it all clean. This camera also has a lithium-ion battery that lasts anywhere from 6 to 8 hours of continuous runtime. And this cord right here in the middle you plug into the screen. This is your power supply from the battery, comes with a couple little screwdrivers.

It's got this little protector, I don't know, they call it a pulley setup. I will put this on and show you. This is for a bigger drain pipe. We are fixing to go down some 6 in. So we're going to pop this bad boy on. Try it out. It's got another little protector right here, and this has some set screws. You're able to tighten this down on the camera head itself.

Underneath here, we've got the cool little camera setup, which has 12 LEDs that go around here, it's dimmable. This is a sapphire lens, so it's not going to be super easy to scratch. You can see it's a little bit dirty at the moment, but it cleans up really nice and the picture quality is awesome. So you get down here, this is a blue super thin 100ft cable. Very flexible, super nice. This is where your camera connects, it's got a little o-ring in here that keeps it with a watertight seal. It's made to snake drains. It says it does all kinds of stuff, like you could use this for underwater exploration, caving. Maybe I'll take it on vacation with me, and we'll do a little snorkeling with our camera snake.

You should be careful with these little nuts, these are all Philips head screwdriver. You just need to make sure you get that somewhat open. There's a lot of these going both ways that are going to allow you to open this thing up, just enough to slide the camera right through the bottom. It's got a lip on the top, push over the top right here. And then once you get it all the way down, you're going to be able to secure it in place, make sure you tighten all these down. I wouldn't want this thing coming off in the drain, so they've got all these wheels right here double nutted.

There is this case right here, I'm looking at the foam seal, I don't 100% know if this would be waterproof to the fullest extent at first. It seems very nice so far. It's going to be easy to close and would keep some rain off of it. Let's turn this on, we'll get it fired up. So they give you a one-year warranty. And then they say they'll give you a support for after-sale.

Button & Set up

Oh, what is that? Something trying to attack me. I know you start hearing rustling in the trees around here, it gets nervous. To get up in here and show you what some of these buttons do. So we've got the power button, a record button, a play button, a menu and exit button, photo, etc. We have a zoom button, it'll zoom up to 5x. This comes with a 16 gig SD card. It will support up to 128 gigs which is very nice, easy to transfer.

 

I've already done that in a couple of cases, and it works really well. Right here transfers from feet to meters depending on what country. Double-click the menu button and that comes up. Then you're able to toggle with photo and zoom whatever you need. Hit record to enter. It's going to bring up any of the stuff that you need. It will allow you to change your system language.

Glad that's just hand tight, let's make sure we turn the LED on. Let's crank it all the way up. There we go, get the LED all hooked up, and then we will hit record. Once you hit record, it's going to start counting for you.

Demo

So now we're just going to go right on down the drain. That goes to the backyard and then this just goes out. There we go, and now actually we're pretty centered in the drain there, which is really nice.

Yeah, cool, it's clear. I was wondering if there was anything going on in here. I think all in all that is a very clean little setup. Look at that picture quality, that looks excellent and it also has a microphone. So you can talk about where you're looking at. When you take a photo of something, you will actually document the date of the time of everything and know how much snake you've got down inside the pipe.

Conclusion

This little all-in-one Sanyipace 100ft camera snake is really awesome. Especially 100ft, for how small and compact the thing is.
